The Film festival is organised by two charities – the Woolverstone Project and the Woodbridge Riverside Trust. Any surplus from the festival will go to support the work of these two charities.
Woodbridge Riverside Trust (WRT), a nonprofit community organisation, welcomes you to the Longshed, our unique maritime heritage initiative, breathing new life into the heart of the Woodbridge waterfront.
The once derelict site of the old Whisstocks Boatyard has been transformed. In April 2018 we took on the lease of the Longshed, a purpose built community resource comprising a boatbuilding workshop and mezzanine gallery. The Longshed will be home to a range of creative projects that people can take part in, or simply watch progress. We want to secure real long term benefits through opportunities to find out about our outstanding maritime heritage and riverside environment, through learning, training, developing skills and, most of all, enjoyment.
Things are happening on the waterfront… Find out about us. Explore what we offer. Join the people who are already getting involved in projects ranging from building a canoe to reconstructing a 27 metre Anglo-Saxon ship. Help celebrate our maritime heritage and shape our waterfront future.
The Longshed is open to visitors from 11.00-13.00 on Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday all year round.
